The iPad 3 announcement is (allegedly) two weeks away and the product launch will (also allegedly) take place shortly thereafter. As you sift through your iPad 3 wishes and wants, check out these images of the (again alleged) iPad 3 shell courtesy of M.I.C. Gadget. Judging from the photos, the iPad 3 is a wee bit thicker than its predecessor and also curves a bit differently. Check out some additional details below.

The unit is about 1-1.5mm thicker depending on your model. Also it does fit inside some iPad 2 cases despite this.
The edges are tapered, we have heard as said previously that the bezel is narrower, and we have confirmed there are volume keys.
The site also reported some disappointing rumors for those wishing for an iPad with a 4G LTE radio and/or higher memory capacities. Although some pundits were expecting a more radical redesign, it looks like subtle changes are in store for the next iPad...if these photos are to be believed.
