The first trailer for Aralon: Sword and Shadow has hit the Internet, and it's a beauty. Aralon is an upcoming 3D RPG from the makers of Ravensword: The Fallen King and Rimelands: Hammer of Thor. Since those successful RPGs will be the basis of comparison, Aralon has a lot to live up to. But from the looks of it, it just might succeed.
The trailer and screenshots come from the iPad version of the game, so that explains the shrunken user interface. The developer has noted that you'll also be able to double-tap where you want your character to go, so you won't have to rely on the D-pad if you don't want to. Like Oblivion, you'll also be able to play the game from either a first-person or third-person perspective.

This game looks pretty awesome =)
dont be to positive...the screenshots are made smaller so you dont see all the rough edges on all 3d objects...
i AM looking forwards to this, but dont expect it to be wonderful in terms of graphics...only games with UT3 engine can amaze me now, thanks to Epic Citadel.
I will complete the game though, it looks pretty awesome :)
if your really not liking this much, this is the ipad version above. id love to see your comment on the iphone version about the graphics
So far there is only one demo made with the Unreal Engine running on the iPhone. So basically you are hating on all of the graphics in all iPhone games.
If we could concentrate on an area that small, we could make it look that good, even with Unity and some clever trickery. There is no dynamic lighting in there, or animated characters, AI, weapons, effects, etc... It's quite a ridiculous statement to disregard all of the 3d graphics on the iPhone because of one demo (that isn't even a game yet).
Im not saying i hate other graphics. I cant be WOWwed again, unless its comparable of the ut3 engine quality.
Im just warning people because alot of developers shrink screenshots to make the game look beautiful. It is, and will be, but dont expect something you have not seen before.
And again, i cant wait to play the game.
Once Epic Citadel is released later during the year, you're going to pretty disappointed after you see the drastic change in the graphics.
It's project sword, not epic citadel :3
